My Organisation uses Redshift as Data Base, which they installed AWS EC2 Insatnces in a remote PC which is acting as Production server. Its a secured server, so they created a SSH Tunnel ( bastian host ). Only using this tunnel i can connect Redshift with any tool in any other devices.
In my office laptop,
i had succesfully connected DBeaver with Redshift using SSH tunnel configauration in DBeaver, and i can see the data's.
now i have to connect this Redshift data with PBI to make Reports, but because of PBI dont have explicit SSH tunnel configuration ( like in DBeaver ) - Unable to Connect, and shows error
I have done so much R&D but i couldn'd find a solution.
Anyone pls suggest how to make this connection succesfull.
Hi @PremK ,
Thank you for reaching out. It seems that connecting to Redshift via an SSH tunnel directly in Power BI is not feasible. However, Power BI provides a dedicated connector for Amazon Redshift, which you can use to establish a connection.
Additionally, you can utilize an on-premises data gateway to enable Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on (SSO) for Amazon Redshift. This setup can help you securely connect and access your Redshift data for reporting purposes in Power BI.
For details, you can refer to
