I have an odbc connection on my PC that works with Crystal Reports. I want to use the same connection with Power BI, but I get the following error when trying to login:
I know the password is good as it works in Crystal Reports. In Cyrstal I had to set it up as an ODBC (RDO), but do not see that option with Power BI.
Any thoughts are appreciated so that I can connect to this database.'
Thank you!
Hi @KevinCharlton , can you try testing the connection in Windows ODBC Administrator app (Control Panel)? Alternatively can you try deleting the connection and recreating it?
If that doesn't work, please enable diagnostic details in powerbi desktop for a closer look at the specific failure - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/fundamentals/desktop-diagnostics
Thank you.
I spoke to a co-worker who said that he has not been able to get any data from our server because it is a c-tree database with an odbc connection. Is that possible?
