Not summing data

When creating a visual, the data I enter into either the "x" axis or the "y" axis sums the data.  Don't want the data to sum.  I id'd the data as "text", etc.    Refer to following screen shot.  What am I missing?

Hi,

if you right click the column in the visual and select don't summarize that should work.
