Nested measures issue

Hi !

I'm currently facing a DAX issue : I can't find a way to merge 3 dependant measures into a single one.

This is the code :

Measure1 =
IF(
    ISINSCOPE(Dates[Month]),
    SUM(Tab1[Value1]) * SUM(Tab2[Value2]) * 1000
)

Measure2 =
IF(
    ISINSCOPE(LOCATIONS[name]),
    SUMX(Dates, [Measure1])
)

Measure3 =
SUMX(LOCATIONS, [Measure2])

The measure 3 displays correctly what I need in a matrix visual.

To lighten the dataset I tried replacing the [Measure1] and [Measure2] in the third measure to have all in one but when doing the result is not working anymore.

Is someone able to tell me why ? And how to fix it if possible ?

Thanks in advance !

Best regards

Cado

Hi, I am not sure whether the below measure will work, but please try.

In my opinion, the reason is that context transition is needed if it is not refering to the measure itself.

Measure3 fix =
SUMX (
    LOCATIONS,
    CALCULATE (
        IF (
            ISINSCOPE ( LOCATIONS[name] ),
            SUMX (
                Dates,
                CALCULATE (
                    IF (
                        ISINSCOPE ( Dates[Month] ),
                        SUM ( Tab1[Value1] ) * SUM ( Tab2[Value2] ) * 1000
                    )
                )
            )
        )
    )
)
