Hi, I have a unique ID (text string) for each of my records.
My problem is that are said ID is considered unique based on the capitalization of the letters within the string.
The format appears correct within the Power Query Editor, however, once it's imported into Power Bi, the format changes.
IE:
Data loaded into Power Query Editor
| Case Number | Case ID |
| ABC123 | 5000g00001xVAW3 |
| ZYX987 | 5000g00001xVaw3 |
| MNM646 | 5000g00001xVB3b |
| NFB305 | 5000g00001xVB3B |
Data shown in PBI
| Case Number | Case ID |
| ABC123 | 5000g00001xVAW3 |
| ZYX987 | 5000g00001xVAW3 |
| MNM646 | 5000g00001xVB3b |
| NFB305 | 5000g00001xVB3b |
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Looks like this is known. https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Case-sensitive-trouble-Power-Query-gt-DAX/td-p/414720 talks about it a bit then points to https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f12496b0-7424-44e7-a384-a08694595899/power-query-load-not-maintaining-case-sensitive-data?forum=powerquery.
Eventually you'll get to https://www.thebiccountant.com/2015/08/17/create-a-dimension-table-with-power-query-avoid-the-bug/
Hope that helps

Thank you, I am still very new to Power Bi but it doesn't look like I am going to be able to do what I need to do.
I need the case sensitive ID within my data model (power bi) so I can create hyperlinks for reference to Salesforce webpages.
😞
Thank you
