Hi,
I want to connect the MySQL database on powerBi desktop. I have some confusion about it. It will be helpful if I get proper guidelines about it.
1. Should I install MySQL workbench on my desktop to connect powerBi desktop to MySQL data?
2. Is it possible to incrementally refresh the MySQL data?
3. I have two databases on my server; one is MySQL and the other one is MongoBD. Which is best to import data on powerBI?
Thanks

hi @mamunxv8,
1. You don't necessarily need to install MySQL Workbench on your desktop to connect Power BI Desktop to MySQL. Power BI Desktop has a built-in connector for MySQL, so you can connect directly using the MySQL connector.
2. You can use incremental refresh for MySQL data.
3. i will recommend using mySQL becasue if you use mongodb then you will have to use the json format for connecting to the datasource because mongodb uses paid connector to powerbi if you use it as datasource. only M10 tiers can connect to powerbi connector in mongodb. else you have to use the dsn connector JDBC to connect to mongo datasource.
