Measure Conundrum

Hi All,

New to BI and am struggling with the syntax for a measure.

Table = Investigations

Field 1 = Locality

Field 2 = Count of Investigations

The visual gives me a count of investigations by Locality (all good)

What I want is the same information but in a measure for each Locality, i.e.

Location A = 30

Location B = 22

Location C = 12

In the grander scheme I want to be able to work out how many investigations each locality has had by "per 100 staff", but one step at a time!

Appreciate any support

KD

Hi @KevDavies

Create a new measure like

Measure = COUNT('Table'[Investigations])

or

Measure = COUNTROWS('Table')

The 'Table'  here refers to the table you use.

Hi @KevDavies

Try to place Locality in "legend" of any visualization.456.png

Hi @misaki233

Thanks fot eh suport, getting the information in the visual is not the problem, I need it in a measure so I can make other calculations based on the individual localities.

@misaki233 , Thank you so much, that worked.

Appreciate the swift response
