Matrix visual Shorting

Hi folks,

I want to sort a matrix column based on each individual column. Whenever we use a column name in the column field of the Matrix visual, the option for sorting individual columns automatically disappears from the visual. However, this works perfectly when using individual measures.

Your Response in this regard will be highly appreciated.

@Anonymous Hello Anil,

In my case , I wanted to sort country data based on the below requirement.

I have created one to many relationship with this disconnected table with my fact table. Then i have used

related function to bring country sort column in fact table.

Then I have selected country column => sort by column => selected Sort 

 Then 
Select three dot => Sort by => Country => ASC or DSC as per requirement. You can refer below image.

@Anonymous , if you are using a field/s in the column matrix you can only sort of the grand total of Measure total not on the individual.

You can log an idea for that https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/

But if want to change the order of the Column field you can use the sort column

Thanks for the response,
The ask is to short the column vertically not horizontally, Which i feel is not feasible as of now in PBI.
That video link shows the latest or oldest year or data based on the column value we have.
