Matrix Total Question

Hello,

I'm trying to display just the column total in a matrix by a specifc field and can't quite figure out what I need to do diffferently.  Here is what I'm after.  Under each red line I want the total for each cardnumber.

This is currently what I have, but as I add in more fields I get more and more totals (1 total per field placed in rows).  I can't figure out how to only show 1 total (sum amounts by cardnumber).

I only have the option in the matrix to turn Total row on/off as I don't have a column field in the matrix

Thoughts on how I might accomplish this? Thanks in advance!

@Promethes_2,

Instead, you could try to add a calculated column.

transDate           operation =
FORMAT ( Table1[transDate], "MM/dd/yyyy" ) & REPT ( " ", 10 )
    & Table1[operation]

This is a pretty clever work-around, thank you.

What if you simply remove the Operation from the columns? Would that then not give you the total per date, per card number?
