Masking data in Power BI for data imported from csv file

Hello

 

I am using a csv file as data source and would like to mask few columns. Could you please help me with the steps.

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you will publish the report to Service, I think you could hide the columns after creating visuals. However, in this way, the columns just hide in report view.  We can still view the data in data view.

If you don't want someone to view your data, you could try to set Row-Level security(RLS)

 

If the ways can't help you, maybe you need to vote up the idea to get the feature fixed.

You can go to Power Query Editor then it will open all yours columns and fields. Then select any columns which you want to mark or remove and right click on that column and select remove option.

@Tahreem24  Removing columns will remove the visualisations I created on those columns. I just want to mask the data but not remove them.

Can you please give some examples of visuals?
