    Hi sivarajan21 ,

Thank you for raising this issue regarding the UK postcodes not rendering correctly in the map visual.

I’ve attempted to reproduce the behavior in my environment, and I can confirm the observation. When only the postcode (e.g., N12 0AZ) is used as the location in the map visual, it does not always render correctly. However, after adding the Town field along with the postcode in the Location section of the visual, it worked as shown below:

As pointed out by danextian  and johnt75 , Power BI uses Bing Maps (or Azure Maps, depending on the visual) for geocoding. These services may occasionally struggle to resolve standalone postcodes, especially in cases where multiple regions might share similar patterns. Including additional geographic context such as town or country name significantly improves location accuracy.

For the most consistent and precise results--particularly with larger or more complex datasets--we recommend enriching your data with latitude and longitude coordinates wherever possible.

Please feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance with implementing this approach or refining your dataset.

If this post helps, please consider marking it as the solution to help others in the community find it more easily. A kudos is always appreciated!

    Best regards,
