Map visual is blank
Hi,
Unable to use mas visual from power bi desktop. It's showing blank. I have switched on the shape map visual from security but still its not working for me. Can anyone help me out with it? If I am publishing the report it's visible in the service account.

If I understand correctly, you are trying to create a map visual, but it can't display the data normally in Power BI Desktop. However, it can work when the report be published to Power BI Service. What's the version of your Power BI Desktop? Please update to the latest version and check if the map visual can work in your side.

If it still not working, could you please provide some sample data which involved in your map visual? Later I will try to reproduce your problem base on your shared data and make troubleshooting till give you a suitable solution. Thank you.

Using the latest version of PBI and I have downloaded it from the Microsoft app store. For more exploration, I have enabled the azur map and it's working fine with it. but map is not working for me. Using the simple data and using the data type as city ane country
I have had this same problem for the last month. Reports published in Service display and plot correctly, but in Desktop the map visual is completely blank. For awhile, going into Options and Settings and clearing the cache worked, but that no longer works. It seems only by random happenstance the map visual works now. Today for example I cannot get it to work but tomorrow it might. I believe this broke in the April update but I am not 100% sure.
