Lookup

I am trying to lookup use a substring from table Matl from Bill-of-material (BOM) and assign the Matl Code to matching records. Any ideas how?

@GTS2010 you can use lookupvalue function to add new column in BOM

Hey,

 

please provid sample data, create a pbix, upload the pbix and accompanying xlsx to oendrive or dropbox and share the link.

 

Please provide an expected result.

Excel has format and a couple example column A bottom.

@GTS2010 just downloaded pbix and there are many tables, so which one we are searching from and to which one? Names of the tables are totally different what you posted.

I missed giving you comm code app.xlsx. - see Comm code tab in this sheet

I redirected connection to comm code app.xlsx in pbix file just now - Table comm Code
All the other tables come from COMM_CODE LKUP which contains Name ranges are each of the other tables in the pbix are connected to it
