Login error for user on RDS server

We have an Remote Desktop server where multiple users access PowerBI Desktop, one user is getting the following error when trying to login on this server:
"AADSTS5000611: Symetric Key Deriviation Function version '1' is invalid. Update the device for the latest updates."

No other users are seeing this error, and the affected user can successfully login to PBI on his local computer without issue, he only gets the error on the RD server.

I was not able to find much information about this error online, is this a known issue? configuration problem? user account problem? any help with a fix or workaround would be appreciated.

That's not the latest version btw.
