Loading SVG images in the 'Card (new)' visual

After the new update, the 'Images' feature of the 'Card (new)' visual isn't working. Is anyone having the same problem? I have some links of photos and I created a custom SVG code as well. None of these are working after the update.

Please let me know if you know how to solve this. Thank you 💐

Hi @nijobair,

It looks like the issue is specific to the Card (new) visual after the update, since previously created ones are still working and the PNG images are working in other visuals so the problem is likely with the Card (new) visual itself, possibly due to a breaking change in the latest update.
I suggest you to please report it in the Issues forum to fix this.

Hi @nijobair,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

It looks like the recent update might have affected how images are handled in the Card (new) visual.

  • Check if the image URLs are publicly accessible, by opening them in a browser and testing them.
  • If SVG images fail, try using a PNG or JPEG format. If those images work, then the update may have specifically effected SVG rendering.
  • Try loading the images in the Image Viewer visual. If they work there then the issue is likely with the Card (new) visual.
  • If the issue started after the power bi update, consider using a previously stable version of power bi to see if the problem persists.

1. The images are publicly accessible, here is an example: Image Link.
2. The images load perfectly in 'Simple Image', but that is not suitable for my use case.

3. I created two Cards: one with a .png image and the other with .svg before the update, and those are working fine. Any card, I create after the update fails to load both the PNG and the SVG.

4. The PNG loads properly inside a table/ matrix visual. It just doesn't work in the new card.
