I have a desktop with several Table visuals. In each case, all of the columns specify "Don't Summarize". Half of my tables show "Total" under the rows. What causes "Total" to appear or not appear as shown below in the red box?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Adding Conditional Formatting causes "Total" to be added to the display. In my response to amitchandak, the second visual does not have conditional formatting applied. In the screenshot below, I have added conditional formatting which changed the background to green and adds "Total". Both visuals use the same input table, so the only change was adding conditional formatting. Can anyone point me to where this "feature" is documented, or explain why anyone would want to see "Total" just because conditional formatting has been added? It seems like a bug to me.

@Anonymous , I checked this, if all columns are not summarized then it not showing. But if you add a measure or summarized column it is showing.
I understand what you are saying, but it does not match my results. My first two reports are identical except for "Filters on this visual". Neither has added measures or summarized columns, but the first has "Total" and the second does not.
