when i try to create a line chart in power bi it shows only 1 straight line, despite having multiple data points. how do i show the kwh on the Y axis despite not having a separate column for this in excel (dont need to as i specified units at top of column)?

Hey there!
This happens when your X-axis values (typically dates or categories) are not properly set.
Check the Axis Data Type
- Go to your X-axis field (e.g., Date or Time).
- Ensure it is set as "Continuous" instead of "Categorical."
- Select the chart, go to Format pane > X-axis > Type, and change it to Continuous.
Aggregate Values Properly
- If your Y-axis (kWh) is aggregated as a SUM or AVERAGE, Power BI might be summarizing all values into one.
- Click on the Y-axis field in the chart and change the aggregation (e.g., Don’t Summarize, Count, or Sum if applicable).
