Line chart only shows missing data gaps when adding multiple x-axis inputs

Becuase the IoT sensor data is coming in at slighly varying times, once in a while a time slot is skipped, creating gaps when combining sensor data in the chart.  No actual data points are missing, they are just not being "assigned" to every incremental time slot on my Time table.  See picture 3 - raw sensor data, and picture 4 - PBI chart export data.

Is there a way to enable graph lines to coninute point to point through any "missing" data as shown in picture 1? 

Picture 1 has the time slot 8:40, is missing time slot 8:50, and has time slot 9:00.  Using just one sensor data line, the chart line displays as desired.  Adding one or more sensors to the chart causes "gaps" to show.  Please see the picture 2, which shows adding more sensors, and the time slot 8:50 gap is no longer connected.

@JHarmon , go to x-axis setting of the visual in format setting and change the type to "Categorical".

I'm not seeing "Type" or "Categorical" option.  Am I looking in the right location?

Actually....after digging more, when I drill up and only have "Date" on the X-Axis, I can change to "Categorical", but when I drill back down and have Minutes, Dates, "Categorical" is no longer an option, nor applies.  Is there a solution in this case?

Just tallied your data and their is no value of that sensor at that time. For ex. There is no value for sensor 10 at 8:40 PM or sensor 6 for 8:50 PM so it will not have values to map on the graph. It leaves 8:50 PM for sensor 6 from the axis because there is no value of sensor 6 at that time, this issue can be changed by categorical or continuous. Gap doesn't exist in just sensor 6 graph because all the values are mapped. For multiple line chart with a continuous 10 min time distribution there are some sensors with no output at a point and some output at that point, so the gaps will continue to exist.
