Hi, I've creaed a Line Chart vizualization in a Power BI desktop file that works and looks exactly as intended, except the tooltips are displaying values for 4 categories, where I'd like them to just display the values for a single category at a time.
See img below:
see the tooltip showing values for 4 categories for the selected month
I'd like the tooltip to look like it does when I've sliced just one category, see img below:
tool tip provides values for a single category
Any tips on how to acheive this would be much appreciated!

Hi @ianmonat,
If you want the tooltip shows one value, you can filter the category by slicer or visual level filter.
Currently, power bi desktops do not support manual select tooltips info, you can vote below idea:
Choose additional tooltip info

Hi @ianmonat, what you could do is to create a calculated measure, in which you calculate the MIN or the MAX value of your data being viewed. By doing this MIN or MAX, this will only return one value.
You can then within your Calculated Measure put in some Text Values to give it the description you require.
Have a look at this blog post by Dustin Ryan explaining how he achived this.
https://sqldusty.com/2016/06/29/5-more-power-bi-tips/ - Then look under the Create a Calculated Measure to Display Descriptive Tooltips section.
And then finally you can put your Calculated Measure into the Tooltips area.
Cool ,
What u r viewing in that tooltips it exactly correct.
Because u have "Distibutor" in Legend know that is the reason to show all.
so it was showing correct,
If u want the tooltip like u mention in second visual , Use Distributor on slicer .
