Hi everyOne,
I am new at microsoft power BI ... I tried to use line chart and 3 fields in it .. when i click on any legend, that line gets highlighted ... Can I just hide other lines instead .. Is that posible ?
Thanks 🙂
No, the legend causes a hightligth. You could have a separate filter (e.g., a slicer) that would do that.
Thanx for your response 🙂 but i want to do something with the legends ... related to that can I merge 3 fields in one line using line chart ???
@Zain You aren't going to be able to do anything in the visual itself. You will need to develop the underlying data to be in the structure you want to display.
Thanx for the information 🙂 ... Am having few difficulties like i have some conditions that are not easy to impliment on it .. One i have already mentioned in my question and there are other few more ... such as adding different colors on background of line chart on diffrent ranges , open bar chart on pointing on specific point of line chart .... I think for these I have to create a custom visual ?? If yes can you tell me if i want to customize any current visual using there devTools is that posible ???
Hi asimbilal,
Currently, in Power BI, we are only able to change background color of the line chart. For more details about the whole process, please review this article.
And please check that if the existing “Line and Clustered column chart” visualization in Power BI meets your requirement that open bar chart on pointing on specific point of line chart.
In addition, please help to post the sample chart that you want to get if above visualizations cannot be acceptable.
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
