Hi there, i spent a lot of time looking for the solution and cant seem to find one.
Is it really impossible to create layered map in power BI? Layered i mean e.g. coloring countries based on their GDP, and adding locations layer(LAT LONG) of biggest companies headquaters.
I know you can do it with ArcGis Map custom viz, BUT you can only use reference layers that are provided. And if you want to create your own, you have to store it online which i cant do.
In tableau it is straight forward...
Anybody knows workaround?
I think this need to have a solution in Power Bi with default maps, which i mean with out using viz from market place. This is a feature availble in Tableau from many years alreday.
Hi, @Anonymous
You may try to use Drilldown Choropleth or Drilldown Cartogram from marketplace. Hope they help.
Best Regards
Allan

Not with the out-of-the-box map visuals. Would need ArcGIS map or a map visual from App Store.
which one except ArcGis?
