Hi all, I have only just started to dip my toe into Power BI.
I have a KPI table in an excel spreadsheet. I want to display the table as is and then I can add some graphing etc. My issue is my rows in the excel sheet are merged.
Below is a cleaned extract of what the excel spreadsheet layout looks like.

Hi @Anonymous ,
The merged cells will be automatically split when loading the data. The first row will have value and others will be blank as you can see in below screenshot.
Then you can use fill down feature in Power Query Editor to fill the blank rows with values.
In addition, through Power Query Editor, you can clean and shape the data as much as possible to make it became whatever you need. For more details, please check the document.

Thanks for your help. That is making sense. Is there a way I can then display the table without listing the same KPI name multiple times. So it looks very similar to the original excel table with the KPI listed once and the data points listed under the correct KPI?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Sorry for the delay.
Matrix visual should suit your needs.

Jay
@Anonymous , This kind of display is possible using a matrix, for that target has to be categorical value too. Also if this data format , lot of data information is needed to make it work in power bi
Hi, Thanks for the reply but I don't really follow what you mean.
