HI Power BI Community,
I have 3 tables lets say Table A, B, and C from SQL Server. Table C contain key column only which joins table A and B.
Basically table relationship is as given below:
Table A to C --> Many-1 and Table C to B --> 1-Many.
Now, my query is how to validate my above data from SQL server backend. Which type of join should I use to validate my power bi report.
Hi @Tahreem24
Hi @Tahreem24
Connect to data from SQL Server with Power BI, Then create relationship for these tables in Power BI.

Hi @v-juanli-msft,
I have already created relationship between those 2 tables. My query is how to cross check my power bi data with SQL Server data.
Thanks!
Hi @Tahreem24
Sorry, I'm not clear about your requirement.
Data in Power BI can't return back to data source.
In Direct query mode, Power BI can send queries back to SQL Server to request data from SQL Server to Power BI.
Hi @v-juanli-msft ,
I have ingested data from SQL server to Power bi and have created relationship between those table in power bi. Now I want to validate my report with my SQL server for testing/QA purpose.
So, I want to know which type of join should I use in SQL server for testing purpose for one-many relationship in power bi?
Thanks.
