Hi there
I set up a dataflow to a SharePoint list but I am having issues with extracting values from 2 x multiple choice SharePoint list fields - the rows are empty and it will not allow me to extract the values. Is anyone able to advise me why this is and what I would need to do to fix this issue? Apologies if I have missed anything obvious. I have tried googling this issue but could not find one to match my situation.

Hi @SJW290390 ,
Try below fix,
Open your Dataflow's Power Query Editor (in Power BI Service or Power BI Desktop, depending on where you're editing).
Locate the columns that correspond to the multiple choice fields — they will likely be of type List or Record.
Click the small icon at the top-right of the column header (often looks like two arrows 🔽 or a box with an arrow).
If it's a List, you'll choose “Expand to New Rows”.
Then, if needed, use another expand step to extract the actual Value field from the resulting records.
If needed you can combine them back to a single row using Text.Combine([YourField], ", ")
🌟 I hope this solution helps you unlock your Power BI potential! If you found it helpful, click 'Mark as Solution' to guide others toward the answers they need.
