I downloaded my PBIX file from a shared workspace using the live connection option. Since I don't have data view enabled, I go to model and then select the power query edit button. I do that and it prompts me to set up the direct query connection. However, when I do that, nothing shows up in power query!!!
I want to see and edit my data, which is coming from an SQL server, through power query. How can I do this so I can republish with my changes? Thanks!
Hello.
Is there any reason you're downloading the .pbix with the live connection option? If you choose the first one as below, you will be able to examine the data and the model, as well as open Power Query.
Or do you mean that your actual report uses live connection, as in connecting to a semantic model that already exists in the Power BI Service?
