Connecting from Power BI Desktop to Google Analytics via connector seems to connect OK but then can't see any data for the app, only see the Account and nothing below that. Not getting any error. My account has admin rights on Google Analytics.
Hi @moloneyj Now you have the 2.0 beta connector which is compatible with GA4 data but that one seems still has some issues. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party tool. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics (which doesn't have PBI as a destination, so you first have to export to Google Sheets and then export to PBI) and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA4 connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your GA4 account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA4 fields:
There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
Great, appreciate that. Note, we are trying to connect to see App (not web) data and are using Google Analytics 4. I just found the following article which seems to indicate GA4 is not supported: Conector de Power BI Google Analytics 4 - Microsoft Power BI Community
Hi @moloneyj
I have little experience in Google Analytics. I think maybe the Google Analytics connector in Power BI couldn't get everything from Google Analytics. Based on my test, I can only see three views included in "UA-Google Merchandisse Store" below Demo Account. And I couldn't see anything below my account either. Need to do some more investigations and explorations.
