Dear All, I am trying to configure incremental update in Bi Desktop but I am getting the following error:
The data source is a folder with CSV files.
The table data:
Could you help me with this problem?
Best regards
I tried storing to a local folder and then to a Sharepoint folder. Same problem in both cases.
I don't really understand why you mean "combine binaries", could you explain it to me?
I show you the content of the example CSV file (they are all the same, with different result values) :
That is, an instrument outputs approximately 10 CSV files to a folder every 1 hour. This folder will be the data source to generate Trend Dashboards.
The intention is for it to work in real time, but I understand that there are limitations to being able to carry it out with this type of source and having a Pro license. If this is not possible then the idea is to make automatic updates to the boards at least every 3 hours.
Any suggestions?
SharePoint Folder is the better choice.
Your screenshot shows all the Helper Query folders. Those are created when you click the "Combine Binaries" button. As you advance in your developer journey you will learn not to do that any more.
Post a few (at least two) sample files in a usable form (not as a screenshot).
Do not include sensitive information. Do not include anything that is unrelated to the issue or question.

1. CSV data sources do not fold. Do not expect any performance benefits from incremental refresh. All you get is partition management.
2. where are the CSVs stored?
3. "Combine Binaries" is not an optimal approach. Better hand code it via Table.AddColumn.
Can you post at least two sample CSV files?
