Incremental Refresh for Web API- Mindbody API

Hi,

I am connecting Mindbody API as the Web API data source, and am researching whether there is any possibility to apply the incremental refresh on those connectivities.

I've done the below steps when attempting on setting the incremental refresh:

  1. Connect and load the Web API in power query
  2. Create a parameter of the table which has the date/ time column
  3. Configure the incremental setting

Below is the before-after of clicking the refresh bottom.

I was assuming after the refresh, the earliest date/time should stay the same whereas the lastest date/ time will get extended.

Can anyone please advise the reason that my incremental refresh is not working functionally?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Anonymous

Did you refresh it in Power BI Desktop? Incremental refresh only works in Power BI Service. When in Power BI Desktop, the date range is decided by the given values of RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters.

If you want to see how incremental refresh works, you need to publish the report to Power BI Service, then refresh the dataset in Power BI Service. The incremental refresh policy will be applied in each subsequent refresh after the first full refresh happened in Power BI Service. RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters will be updated automatically in Power BI Service according to the policy.

Please refer to Incremental refresh for datasets and real-time data in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
