Incremental Refersh using Update date

I am wanting to setup incremental refresh on a dataset and was wondering if it was recommended or not to use update Date as the range?

I thought I read somewhere that I shouldn't use update date as the main date but now I can't seem to find an articlel about that.  So if someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Absolutely not recommended, as you will end up with lots of duplicate rows across partitions.
