Inconsistent chart interactions

Hi all, I'm hoping for some help with a really frustrating issue with some chart interactions.

I have a report showing data around student interactions with gym facilities and fitness classes. I'll use screenshots below to explain the problem fully (I've hidden labels and axis titles).

In this first screenshot I've clicked on a bar in the yellow funnel chart at the bottom (this is filtered to only show the "Fitness Members" user type) and it has correctly interacted with all the others - the red funnel chart on the right has no highlights and the donut and stacked column charts are showing only Fitness Members data (excuse the stretched effect):

In the next screenshot I've clicked on the red funnel chart (filtered to show only the "BeActive" and "BeActive Halls" user types) and this has also interacted correctly with the others - now the yellow funnel has no highlights and the donut and stacked column charts are showing the right data for these user types.

BeActive funnel

And now for the actual error:  if I try to use the DONUT chart as a filter, it is able to interact with the two funnels but it won't interact with the stacked column. In the screenshot below I've clicked on the yellow "Fitness Members" segment of the donut chart. This has caused the yellow funnel to become fully highlighted (correct), the red funnel to have no highlights (correct), but the stacked column is still showing every category. This happens regardless of the donut segment I choose:

Donut chart error

I've been trying to figure this out for a while but I'm not getting anywhere. I tried to change the donut chart to a funnel chart in case the donut has some sort of bug, but that didn't help.

The only substantial difference between the charts is that the two funnels are filtered to show either 1/3 or 2/3 of the user types, whereas the donut chart is showing all the user types.

Any ideas at all would be appreciated - if I need to give more information let me know.

Hi @aoifoc.

Can you make sure the columns which display in donut chart and stacked chart has the relationship? If them not exist the relationship, the stacked chart visual will not changed if you operate on donut chart as a slicer.

Thank you for replying Xiaoxin Sheng - all my data is held in a single table with one row per student so I don't think this is the problem unfortunately! 😞

Hi @aoifoc,

it sounds odd, can you share us a sample file to test?(1driver, google...)
