Hi, I have developed my company CRM on wordpress theme and I want to import that data into power BI, is it possible with shared hosting? if yes then how?
Thanks for your time.
I wrote an article a couple of years ago about this. http://exceleratorbi.com.au/wordpress-reporting-using-power-query/
Power query wasnt a "real" thing back then, but I think the connection and credentials you set up in Power BI desktop are pushed to the service. You may then need to login again from the refresh window on the service to reauthenticate. But I think it will work.
What is the database of your website? If it is some on-premises database, you can connect it in Power BI desktop and refresh via gateway. There're other features in Power BI to get data from online services, please be more specific on your database.
Check out the April 2026 Power BI update to learn about new features.
