Import Excel Workbook - Error

Hello All,

Trying to import a workbook from a common pathway but there is an unidentified error.

Any quick suggestions on why does it fail?

Hi  @Sairam_11 ,

It seems that Power Bi desktop doesn't support to fetch data from password protected Excel file. Here is an idea you could click to vote it up.

As a workaround, you could remove passsword and instead, move the files to a secure folder that limited people have access to.

The issue was with encrpting the excel file with a password

Can't we import an encrypted file in Power BI?
