How to stop filtering from one visualization to other visualization in Power BI Desktop
Hi,
I have a scenario with two scatter plot visualizations. Consider country, region as filters and Measure 1 in first scatter plot, same country and region as filters and measure 2 in second scatter plot. If I select (mouse click) one measure value on the first visualization, by default it filters in second visualization and display the values for selected country, region and its related Measure 2 values. My requirement is even If I selected values in first visualization it should not filter in second visualization. Below are the options I tried,
Edit interactions - when selecting the first visaulaization, it doesn't show the disable option for second visualization and other visualizations. It shows enable options for other slicers, shapes and text boxes.
Keep all filter - Doesn't work
Responsive - Disable, doesn't work.
Appreciate your help on this ! ! !
Hi Guru_BI,
Thank you rohit1991,lbendlin for your insights.
Power BI behaves this way because, by default, visuals cross-filter each other. Selecting a point in Scatter Plot 1 will automatically filter Scatter Plot 2. To stop this, go to Edit interactions and set the interaction from Scatter Plot 1 to Scatter Plot 2 to None.

Hii Guru_BI
Power BI cannot stop visual-to-visual filtering for scatter charts.
Scatter plots do not support “Edit Interactions >> None”, which is why you are not seeing the disable option. For this visual type, cross-highlighting is always enabled and cannot be turned off.
So if you click a point in Scatter Chart 1, Scatter Chart 2 will always get filtered this behaviour cannot be disabled in Desktop. - lbendlin

use different measures. Use explicit REMOVEFILTERS in those measures to limit the interactions.
