How to overlay averages from different line charts

I have two data sets that look like the following:

DatasetDataset

I was able to produce a daily average line chart for each data set, like the following:

VisualsVisuals

Now I am trying to overlay/combine both charts.

So I created a calendar like the following to connect the dates

New Date tableNew Date table

dates connecteddates connected

However the application of the Average fails on the chart with the calculated dates in the X-Axis.

We can see that from the straight line.

Can you please help?

(I checked this solution  but it didn't work for me)

Hi,

You should ideally append your 2 tables into a single one because they have the same structure.  The relationship with the Calendar table should be Single and Many to One.  Please also ensure that the relationships are between the correct columns.

Hello, Ashish

Thanks for your reply.

I ended up choosing to append the tables, but only after I added a column to each to identify region.

I'm still curious about how to make it work by creating a new date table, though. Do you have a reference from which I can better understand the dynamics of single and many to one relationships compared to, let's say, both and one-to-one?

Thank you

Ashish,

I am having problems refreshing the report after creating a new table by appending the tables.

Any suggestions?
