How to match shape map with column slider
Hi AmateurStatic ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community.
The issue arises because your year values (2018-19, 2019-20, etc.) are stored as separate columns, but slicers in Power BI filter row values, not columns.
To fix this:
-
Go to Power Query → Select the year columns → Right-click → Unpivot Columns.
-
Use the new “Year” column in your slicer and the “Value” column in your Shape Map.
This will allow your map to update dynamically based on the selected year. If the issue still persist, please provide sample file as mentioned by Anonymous for accurate solution.
I hope this will resolve your issue, if you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out.
If this post helps, then please give us Kudos and consider Accept it as a solution to help the other members find it more quickly.
Thankyou.
