How to increase the size of row header.

I am sharing my Pbix file here.

I am creating Matrix report.

I am trying to increase the size of row header.

I tried to adjust the height of the row header by adjusting the size of width column (like this article mentioned), but it does not work.

I thought forcing to adjust the column width possibly increase the row header, but it does not seem to work.

When I searched online, only thing I could find was "row padding", but it applies to all rows, not only on the row header.

What is solution?

Thanks for help

@PaulDBrown Thanks for help. It appears that I have to manually adjust the column width to  adjust the row column height. Is it the only solution? I thought it would be somewhat automatic.

I got the wrapping the text done, but all done manually (from adjusting column width).

@JustinDoh1  That article is more about making your column widths wider than needed, you need to set yours to less wide - if you decrease the width of your column the row header will increase height automatically (make sure wrap text is ON and that you set Autosize column width to OFF).

This video gives more detail than the link you found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZtuifazEHk

@AllisonKennedy  Thanks for help again.

I looked for "wrap text", and I made sure all Word wrap are "On".

I made sure Column headers' Auto-size column width is "Off".

Then, I moved the the measure that I created - "col width" to the value.

But, nothing is changed.

I was hoping that adjusting the auto-size column width to "Off" would possibly increase the height of column header and wrapping the text on the column header.

Here is a link to my updated Pbix file.

Thanks.

As @AllisonKennedy  suggests, you have to drag the right boundary of the  "Declined-Medical Exemption" column to the left until you get the layout you need.

Hi,  @JustinDoh1

The text size also has an effect on the height of the column headers.

Have you tried to adjust the height of the column headers indirectly by adjusting the text size of the column headers?

@v-easonf-msft Thank you for your comment. I think I tried that as well. I was looking into more of automatic process to adjust the column header.

@JustinDoh1  You're not alone in finding this frustrating and time consuming. I'd suggest you up vote some of the ideas on Power BI Ideas: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/search-ideas/?q=auto%20adjust%20column%20width and hopefully we'll see this functionality in a future release some day....
