I need to create a map visualisation which groups some US States with other countries. I plan to split the US into regions, but some regions also include neighbouring countries.
For example, I need to group Florida with the Caribbean and have the map show them together on one level.
I have tried different combinations with heirarchies which works at country level, but with the example above it shows the entire US with the Caribbean. I need it to colour Florida and all caribbean countries with the same colour.
Another example is showing Mexico with California, Arizona and New Mexico.
I don't need to be able to drill through different level - this is a one level map only.
Any suggestions guys and gals? Much appreciated!

Just try to put them in one column and take a look at Color saturation on visuals upgraded to use conditional formatting.
