How to filter report to exlude date range older than certain month

I'm trying to filter my report to not include any data prior to July 1, 2017.  How would I go about doing this?

I can set a slicer...but then I always have to modify my max date...I just want a min date.

Thank you!

Well you could not load the data in the query editor, just filter the date column. Or you could set a Report wide filter in the filter card on the right of the canvas, and use an advanced filter there

I will not give you bad advice, even if you unknowingly ask for it.
