How to create an area chart for 13 months

I am trying to create a visual for Month on Month expenses and no of transactions. I have data from Oct 2022 to July 2023. I am able to generate the below graph (1st Image) which is correct. However, when I am adding data for Oct 2023, instead of creating a new value in X axis, the data is getting added up in the existing october field (2nd Image). How to create a chart where I can get such visual.
