Hello,
I am very new to Power BI. My company is looking into option of transitioning to Power BI from Tableau.
My question is how do I convert Tableau Calculation to Power BI?
For eg:
DATE({FIXED [Order Number]: MIN(IF [Customer ID]='0510'
THEN [Order Date Time]
END )})
Solved! Go to Solution.
Try something like:
Measure = CALCULATE(MIN(Table[Order Date Time]), Table[Customer ID]="0510", ALLEXCEPT(Table[Order Number]))
If you've already got the table grouped by Order Number, then you should be able to skip the last CALCULATE argument.
Here's the docs for the above functions:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/allexcept-function-dax
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/calculate-function-dax
and I also recommend giving this a read - https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/introducing-calculate-in-dax/ as it helped me a lot when I transitioned from Tableau to PowerBI.
Thank you @vicky_ for the solution and for the links. They seem to be very good source. Really appreciate it 🙂
