Good Day,

I'm trying to connect to a MySQL database on a linux server and I'm already connecting to it once by whiting my IP but the problem is that my IP is always changing can anyone support me and tell me how to solve that because I don't want to keep asking my IP address.

Thanks

Hi @Tantawyy91

You can use a Dynamic DNS service see this The 6 Best Free Dynamic DNS Providers (makeuseof.com)

I've used Dynu in the past for similar reasons to yours.

If you set up a Dynamic DNS record, for example tantawyy.domain.com then the MySQL server can allow that same DNS host as an allowed incoming connection.

On your own computer you would need to install a software client that checks your public IP address and then updates that in the DDNS system.  At least that's the way I did it when I used Dynu.

regards

Phil
