How to change the timezone when using Direct Query on Power BI Desktop

Hi,

I am trying to figure to format the date/time but unable to do so. After I use a direct query I get date/time in (2020/02/02 11:09:00 -04:00), though when I run the query in sql editor I get the date/time in (-05:00 UTC). Because of which I use a date slicer to get ceratin data, I get 5 hours before the start date and which offsets 5 hours for the end date.

Is it possible to conver the following date/time? Or is there any other way to get exact amont of data requested?

I believe power bi is based on UTC timezone across the globe. You have to manipulate your Date/Time column as per your need.

+5 for EST.

Hi,

When I get the data in Power BI Desktop, it is in (-04:00). I tried converting it in UTC, it won't work.
