Appended query not allowing One-to-One Relationship

Hi,

I have two tables that are connected to SAP business warehouse server.

These tables have the same fields available and I have joined the two with append query.

I have a unique identifier (document number) that does not repeat but when I try to create a one-to-one relationship it does not allow me.

Can anyone assist?

I have checked an double checked the data and have no duplicates on either.

I can provide sample data if that will help.

Please let me know

Thanks

Are you having issues with a 1-to-1 relationship within a data model? It would help to have a screenshot of the model, to look at existing relationships.

Is this helpfu l?

I am creating relationshps between the SAP data tables and the excel files with the comments.

The concat fields contains the unique identifier that does not contain duplicated in either table but it is only seeing it unique in the excel file rather than the appended query. It will only allow many-to-one

Hi @DSmith4

By default, the direction for "one to one" relationship should be "both", "single" is not supported.

Thank you

Hi @DSmith4

Change to "one to many" or "many to one", it this works, maybe there are some ducpliates in your table.

Add the column (which you expect to be distinct) to a table twice, for one select "distincount".

Then you could see if the column is distinct as expected.

In the table coming from excel, try: remove blank rows and remove duplicate and then try the same.

Thank you for your reply, however this did not solve the issue.

As you can see from the screenshot below, I able to use 1-to-1 relationship with the excel comments file.
