using SSAS cube live connection, created a chart, used Month Name in the Axis,  but by default sorted alphbetically, but i want it to sort by calendar month wise.

Typically this sort would be driven by the sorting in the SSAS cube itself.  Make sure that the sort by column property is set up correctly in the SSAS model to sort on a month key value such as 201601, 201602, 201603, etc.  If that checks out, then there might be something else up, but start there.

Have you tried specifying the Sort By column?
