Hi, juliamoore99
If you accidentally deleted one of your EINs while trying to open the company file, this happens because QuickBooks fails to verify your payroll subscription.
Not only this, but some users have also complained about experiencing an error message saying, “We’re having a problem verifying your account status. Contact Us for help resolving the issue,” along with the error code. So, to fix this issue, ensure the payroll subscription status is active.
- Launch QuickBooks Desktop and select My Payroll Services from the Employees menu. Then, select Account and Billing Info.
- To log in, enter your admin credentials and choose a method to verify your identity from the Confirm your account information window.
- Now, you will get a confirmation code via your mobile number or email ID. Enter the same PIN and click Continue.
- Your payroll subscription is active if you are signed in after confirming the PIN. However, if not, follow the instructions displayed on your screen to activate the payroll services.
Hopefully, these steps will be helpful to you. If not, check out this QuickBooks Payroll Update Error 30159 Windows 11 article for more details.
