I am new to Power BI. I want to create a conditional column based on the results of a calculated column. I created the calculated column in Table View, as that seemed the best place to do this, but I now realize that the conditional column must be created in Power Query Editor, where the calculated column doesn't show up. Is there a way to bring a calculated column into Power Query Editor for this purpose or must I recreate the calculated column in Power Query (not sure how). And if I recreate, will the duplication cause problems?

Hi @annbr , you can't take a calculated column to power query.
Depending on what you want to do, you must choose between calculated columns or custom column (Power query). Another thing, the column names cannot match (your question for duplication).
If you have any other questions, I will be happy to answer you.
Best regards
Hi Bifinity_75,
Belated thank you for your response and guidance. I did find a way in Power Query, by creating a conditional column, to replicate the information I was trying to include via a calculated column - and I was careful to use slightly different column names to avoid the duplication issue. I appreciate your time and assistance.
