How to Convert lipstick chart pattern into some other graphs ?
Hi Experts,
I am working on a dashboard which has a scenario like below :
Combined of 3 bar charts within a single bar chart. (3 diff measures) , this is called Lipstick bar chart.
All are going well before publishing this report , once published it is saying like this chart is UNLICENSED 😞
Cannot able to show this in services (Online link).
Can you please help me to get the same pattern from any other possible charts or possible ideas to get the same chart visual ?
logic is : 71.8% (Yet to budget) + 28.2% (Planned) = 100%
In 28.2% planned , only 18.7% is delivered. From the visual itself you can understand the subject and the same kind of output i have to submit.
Please help to achieve this 😞
Thanks
DK

Hi Anonymous
Maybe you can try the following:
1. Select Clustered bar chart visual
2. Format -> Bars -> Apply settings to, select ALL. Then turn on the Overlap option. Adjust Space between series to 100%.
3. turn on Data labels
If your problem is not solved, please provide some sample data so that I can better help you. Anonymous Thanks for your solution 🙂
Datawise yes this looks OK.
But in the lipstick chart blue color chart comes inside the Green color chart , that means some % of planned items are delivered among the total planned items % , but in the clustered chart it looks like a same common bar charts with partition of 3 measures and cannot identify that the logic behind the data. We cannot adjust the layout for single measure alone 😞

Anonymous No worries, I have used tricky with a border color and adjusted the scenario 🙂
Thanks for your ideas and much appreciated 🙂
