I have a Sales fact table with Revenues of products in Categories like this:-
| Category | Revenue |
| BLUE | $12.00 |
| BLUE | $13.00 |
| RED | $56.00 |
| RED | $17.00 |
| RED | $123.00 |
| RED | $2.00 |
A sales rep earns a commission on each sale according to a Rate. Each product Category has a different commission Rate.
I have a related Rates table that defines the Rate for each Category like this:-
| Category | Rate |
| BLUE | 5% |
| RED | 3% |
I want to show the commission in dollars earned by the sales rep by Category (and the total) in a matrix. I expect it to look like this:-
| Category | Commision |
| BLUE | $1.25 |
| RED | $5.94 |
| Total | $7.19 |
How do I define a measure that multiplies the Revenue by the Rate (from the related table) BEFORE the results are aggregated by the SUM in the measure?
