Help - with powerBI

Hi, I'm new to PowerBi.

I was curious how can I make a donut chart with data from my data set that I need to extract

First is column is Courntires but I only need 5 countries selected

ej

Australia

America

England

Ireland

Japan

Second I have a set of dates in a column but I only need to have a certain range eg 1Janurary 2020 to 31October 2020

I made a measure for the dates to pick up the dates needed but when I when to make the chart it did not like it.

If someone could help that would be amazing 🙂

Hi @JaneSmith23 ,

I have created a simple sample, please refer to it to see if it helps you.

Create another date table to filter the date.

Table 2 = calendar(DATE(2021,1,1),DATE(2021,12,31))

Put the table 2[date] into the slicer.

Measure =
VAR _maxdate =
    MAXX ( ALLSELECTED ( 'Table 2' ), 'Table 2'[Date] )
VAR _mindate =
    MINX ( ALLSELECTED ( 'Table 2' ), 'Table 2'[Date] )
RETURN
    CALCULATE (
        SUM ( 'Table'[value] ),
        FILTER (
            ALL ( 'Table' ),
            'Table'[country] = SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Table'[country] )
                && 'Table'[date] <= _maxdate
                && 'Table'[date] >= _mindate
        )
    )
