I've had a Google Sheet connected to PowerBI for a few months now and yesterday the connection stopped working. When I try to refresh the data I receive the following error:
"The downloaded data is HTML, which isn't the expected type. The URL may be wrong or you might not have provided the right credentials to the server."
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Hi @MAkiva1,
How do you connect the Google Sheet? Web URL or other?
From your error message, Please check your URL.
You could reconnect the Google sheet with the URL to check if you could load the data?
If you cannot connect the data, that should be something with the URL, you should check it and get the new URL.
Best Regards,
Cherry
I connect via Web URL (adding &output=xls) at the end of the URL. I tried updating the URL it points to and in fact, I've tried creating a new pbix file and starting over and still had the same issue. Any other suggestions?
